Can I have a mock up of what my house will look like painted?

Colour Overlays are an Additional Service that Rochele Decorating can provide. They give a fair representation of how the property will look once painted however, the calibration of your computer monitor and printing ink can affect the accuracy of how the colour is displayed. We always recommend you use these as a guide to colour placement, and recommend that you still refer to your hard colour samples and test pots. Please feel free to discuss with us the cost of this service.

How long does it take to get an appointment?

We pride ourselves on our prompt service. We can usually make an appointment with you within a week of your contact and providing it is a fairly straightforward job, you will receive your electronic report within 48 hours.

Why does an exterior colour consult cost more than an interior consult?

Quite simply, they take more time! Exterior colour schemes typically are more complicated then interior colour consults, as there are more architectural features and environmental factors that need to be considered.


I can’t decide which package to go for? The basic or the all-inclusive?

The basic package for $288 suits people who are at the beginning of their project and just need a point in the right direction, or for people who enjoy shopping and have the time but are just struggling to pull it all together. We provide a one off consult and electronic report of the recommendations but we leave the product sourcing to you. We give you a general guide of the types of products and trades to go and search for.

The $500 all-inclusive package is just that. We meet with you to get an idea of the space, your budget, and take necessary measurements. We then go away and put together a mood book of samples and images of actual products that we can source through our trade only suppliers. Once the design is finalised, we order all the products on your behalf, arrange an installation date and store the items as they arrive until they are ready for installation in your space.

Do I have to buy everything through Rochele Decorating?

Of course not, however there are some good reasons to:

1. We have access to really good quality wholesalers, trade only and custom make suppliers. This means that we can often get access to products that you won’t be able to find in suppliers that are available to the general public.

2. We can often get better then retail pricing for you.

3. It allows our service to be affordable. Buying through us essentially pays for our knowledge, creativity and time. We operate on small margin mark-ups from industry rates and we provide a flat rate design fee. We do not charge you for revisions to schemes, background phone calls, emails, or project managing trades.

4. It keeps the design consistent. When we present the mood book to you we are mindful of many things including pattern, proportion, textures, lighting etc. Be mindful that that “black chair” that you think is similar to what we are proposing may not right based on quality, proportions and style! We recognise that this is your space and are however, very happy to work in collaboration with you and where we can, we will work anything that you absolutely love into the scheme.

Does the furniture come with a warranty?

We act as “on sellers” and so we uphold any warranty that is provided by the suppliers we source the products from. We check everything as it arrives into our storage facility so when it comes to you it should be in perfect condition. However, if in the unfortunate case that something is damaged in transit or is faulty in some way, we act as advocates on your behalf in liaising with the suppliers to rectify any issues.
